Özgür Öçal (born October 5, 1981 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Özgür Öçal began playing club football in the youth department of the renowned Istanbul club Galatasaray Istanbul .
From here he moved to the third division Bakırköyspor as a professional player in the summer of 2000 . Here he played four seasons almost continuously.
With the expiry of his contract at Bakırköyspor, he moved to city rivals Kasımpaşa Istanbul in the summer of 2004 . Here, too, he made the leap into the regular formation right away and made promotion to the Süper Lig with his club in the 2006/07 season . After his club was relegated again after one season, he moved to the upcoming season for promoted Eskişehirspor . Here he came to regular appearances at the beginning of the season, but later he only sat on the bench. So he was loaned to the first division club MKE Ankaragücü during the winter break until the end of the season .
He spent the 2009/10 season on loan from his old club Kasımpaşa. For the new season, his contract with Eskişehirspor ran out and so he moved to Kasımpaşa without a transfer fee. He rose to the end of the 2010/11 season with his team in the TFF 1st Lig .
With the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2012, he left the club and moved to the new second division side Adana Demirspor free of charge .
For the 2014/15 season Öçal moved within the TFF 1st Lig to Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . For the next second half of the season he moved to league rivals Albimo Alanyaspor . In the summer of 2015, he changed employers again and joined league rivals Adanaspor . In January 2016 he left the club and remained without a club in the second half of the season.
