Özkan Koçtürk (born November 6, 1974 in Braunschweig ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

At the age of 18 Koçtürk made his debut for Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga , on matchday 29 of the 1992/93 season against Hannover 96 . Koçtürk came only to one more use in the 2nd division, but became a regular player in the Regionalliga Nord from the 1994/95 season after Eintracht's relegation . In 1996 he moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , but from there he was immediately loaned out to other clubs. Koçtürk first gave two short guest appearances for Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Çanakkale Dardanelspor in the Turkish Süper Lig , before returning to his hometown for another six months for Eintracht Braunschweig. He then joined the Turkish first division club Altay İzmir in 1997 . In 2002 Koçtürk returned to Germany to avoid military service in Turkey and ended his career after two years with the Braunschweig Lower Saxony league club BSV Ölper in 2000 .
