The BSV Ölper 2000 is a sports club from the Braunschweig district of Ölper in Lower Saxony . The club colors are black and white. The BSV Ölper was created in 2000 from the merger of the clubs BSV 1922 Braunschweig and Sportfreunde Ölper .

history

Main club Braunschweiger SV 22

The Braunschweiger SV 22 was founded on August 8, 1922 in the Braunschweiger local Petri Schänke . From 1925 to 1933 the BSV soccer team played in the second highest division at the time. From 1932 the association was based on Celler Straße. For the inauguration of its new sports field, the BSV 22 received the first division club Eintracht Braunschweig for a friendly game on June 5, 1932 . The BSV lost to Eintracht in front of around 1,000 spectators with 0:10 (0: 4).

After the end of the Second World War, the club was first re-established as a ball game club from 1945 , before returning to its original name in 1949. In 1976, the BSV 22 moved from Celler Strasse to the newly built sports facility on Biberweg in Ölper. From 1994 to 1996 and from 1997 to 2000 the BSV 22 played in the fifth-rate Lower Saxony League East .

Stammverein Sportfreunde Ölper

Sportfreunde Ölper was founded in 1929. Before the merger, the club shared the sports facilities on Biberweg with the later merger partner BSV 22. The club, which mostly played in the lower class in the men's area, was known primarily for its youth department, from which Tobias Rau and Alexander Madlung later two German national players emerged.

After the merger

In the first season after the merger in 2001, the first men's soccer team managed to return immediately to the fifth-class Niedersachsenliga-Ost, from which BSV 22 was relegated in the 1999/2000 season. This division (by the resolution of the Oberliga Nord after the end of the 2007/08 season in the meantime in Oberliga Niedersachsen-Ost renamed) was a member of one uninterrupted by 2010. The club clearly missed qualifying for the new single-track Oberliga Niedersachsen for the 2010/11 season, finishing in tenth place in the table. In 2011 the BSV was relegated for the second time in a row, this time from the Braunschweig regional league . In 2012, after a year in the district league , he was promoted to the state league again. In 2018 BSV Ölper was relegated to the district league and was passed through to the Braunschweig district league in the following season 2018/19.
