Emergence

The company was founded in 1949 under the name Autosaobraćajno poduzeće ( German  car transport company ), or ASP for short, in Čazma , SR Croatia (then Yugoslavia ). Originally the company only had seven employees. The name was changed to "Čazmatrans" in 1963.

The first bus line connected the two small towns of Čazma and Ivanić-Grad . In 1952 another line was introduced from Štefanje (via Čazma) to Zagreb .

At that time, the demand for local public transport in Yugoslavia was growing steadily. A system of many smaller regional bus companies was not considered sustainable, so that in the 1960s, many smaller companies joined Čazmatrans. In 1962, small businesses from Križevci , Bjelovar and Koprivnica were affiliated ; followed by companies from Daruvar and Virovitica in 1966 and from Kutina , Vukovar and Županja in 1968.

As a result, Čazmatrans consisted of 190 buses in 1969.
