İmamkullu from the south

İmamkullu is a village in the county Tomarza the Turkish province of Kayseri . İmamkullu is located about 25 kilometers southwest of the district town of Tomarza on the western slope of Bey Dağı at an altitude of about 1550 meters. In 1990 the place had 1,188 inhabitants, in 2011 it was 971.

The village experienced several waves of emigration. In the 1960s, many emigrated to Istanbul . When Germany opened up to Turkish guest workers , many residents went to Germany as guest workers in the late 1960s and early 1970s . In Germany, most of the villagers settled in Berlin , there mainly in Berlin- Spandau , as well as in the Ulm region .

The remaining inhabitants of the village earn their livelihood mainly from agriculture and animal husbandry.

In addition to a mosque, the village has a primary and secondary school and five pubs.

The montane location of the village makes for extremely cold winters. Even in summer the nights are extremely cool.

The village borders on Beydağı Mountain . Tahtakemer and Köseler are the neighboring villages of Imamkullus.

A Hittite rock relief lies south of the village .
