Ōkuchi ( Japanese 大 口 市 , - shi ) was a city in Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan .
history
Ōkuchi was founded on April 1, 1954. On November 1, 2008, the city was merged with Hishikari ( 菱 刈 町 , - chō ) in the district of Isa to form the new city of Isa . The district of Isa was then dissolved.
