The Steinau ( Polish Ścinawa Niemodlińska ) is a right tributary of the Glatzer Neisse in Upper Silesia in Poland .

It rises near the village of Mieszkowice ( Dittmannsdorf ) and flows along its entire course in a north or north-easterly direction.

More important places along the river are Ścinawa Mała ( Steinau OS ), Korfantów ( Friedland OS ) and Niemodlin ( Falkenberg OS ).

After approx. 55 km the Steinau joins the Glatzer Neisse at Lewin Brzeski (Löwen) .

The entire length of the Steinau river is parallel to that of the Glatzer Neisse at a distance of 10 to 15 km to the east.
