The Škoda 2Tr is a Czechoslovak trolleybus from the late 1930s, which is derived from the predecessor type Škoda 1Tr . The mechanical part was produced by the Škoda plants in Mladá Boleslav , the electrical equipment was supplied by the above-mentioned plants from Pilsen .

technology

Although the Škoda 2Tr was technically based on the Type 1Tr, the two vehicles differed greatly from each other. It was a three-axle trolleybus with a rear drive axle . Compared to the previous type, the chassis frame has been modified. The body was approx. 20 cm longer and made entirely of metal. The floor height was lowered by 20 cm. There were two folding doors on the left side wall . In 1939 the trolleybuses were rebuilt because of the introduction of right-hand traffic; the door was moved to the opposite side of the body.

The electrical equipment was also partially changed and the number of motors was increased to two. The vehicle was also equipped with dynamic brakes.
