construction

The type 6Tr differed considerably from its predecessors. It was a two-axle trolleybus with a self-supporting body . It was driven by a serial drive motor. The car body is a welded steel structure. Another technical innovation compared to the earlier Škoda trolleybuses was the transverse arrangement of the seats. On the right side of the vehicle were three folding doors, including a four-part rear door and two two-part doors.

Škoda has developed a new pantograph for the 6Tr .
