Žandov (German: Schandau ) is a district of the Czech municipality Chlístovice in the Okres Kutná Hora . The village is located five kilometers southeast of Uhlířské Janovice .
geography
Žandov is located on the southeast slope of the mountain Březina ( Schandauer Berg , 555 m nm) in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Kraličský creek has its source in the village. State road II / 335 runs through Žandov between Uhlířské Janovice and Zbraslavice .
Neighboring towns are Budy , Onomyšl and Samek in the north, Nepoměřice , Kraličky and Kralice in the northeast, Svatý Jan t. Krsovice in the east, Pivnisko in the south-east, Kukle and Kamenná Lhota in the south, Líšťany, Stará Huť, Staré Nespeřice, Podmoky and Kochánov in the south-west, Sudějov in the west and Uhlířské Janovice and Rašovice in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village took place in 1318 as part of the Zbraslavice rule .
In 1840 the village of Schandau, subject to the Inditz ( Jindice ) estate, consisted of 50 houses in which 362 people, including a Jewish family, lived. In the place there was an authoritarian farm, a Dominical sheep farm and an inn. The parish was St. Anna .
After the abolition of patrimonial Žandov formed with the district Pivnisko a municipality in the judicial district Kohljanowitz, Caslaver Kreis. From 1868 the community belonged to the Kuttenberg district . In the second half of the 19th century, the Žandov farm was annexed to the Červené Pečky manor , with Theodor Karl August Freiherr Hruby-Geleny being the last man.
In 1961 Žandov was incorporated into Kralice, and since 1985 the village has been part of the municipality of Chlístovice. On March 3, 1991, the place had 82 inhabitants, at the 2001 census, 85 people lived in the 50 houses in Žandov.
In the years 2000–2001 the observation and telecommunication tower Březina was built.
