(1043) Beate is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on April 22, 1925 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .
The asteroid was probably named at the suggestion of Gustav Stracke .
