(1065) Amundsenia is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 4, 1926 by the Russian astronomer Sergei Ivanovich Beljawski at the Crimean Observatory in Simejis .
The asteroid is named after the Norwegian polar explorer and explorer Roald Amundsen .
