(1538) Detre is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 8 September 1940 by the Hungarian astronomers György Kulin at Konkoly Observatory in Budapest was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Hungarian astronomer László Detre , who was director of the Konkoly observatory for many years.
