(16036) Moroz is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 10 April 1999 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search project at the Lowell Observatory was discovered.

The celestial body was named after the Russian planetologist and astronomer Wassili Iwanowitsch Moroz .
