(1725) Crao is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 20 September 1930 by the Russian astronomer Grigory Neujmin in simeiz was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is the abbreviation for the Crimean Observatory , the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory , at whose facility in Simejis the discovery was made.
