(25058) Shanegould is an asteroid of the Main Belt . It was discovered on August 25, 1998 by the Australian amateur astronomer John Broughton at the Reedy Creek Observatory ( IAU code 428) in Queensland .
The asteroid was named after the Australian swimmer and Olympic champion Shane Gould (* 1956).
