(3889) Menshikov is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on September 6, 1972 by the Ukrainian astronomer Lyudmyla Shuravlowa at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).

The asteroid was named after the Russian statesman and generalissimo of the Russian army Alexander Danilowitsch Menshikov (1673-1729).
