(877) Valkyrie is an asteroid of the main belt , which on September 13, 1915 by the Russian astronomer Grigori N. Neujmin the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory , simeiz was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the warlike Valkyries from Nordic mythology.
