Extraction and presentation
1-Methylcyclohexanol can be obtained by acid-catalyzed hydrogenation of 1-methylcyclohexene . The compound can also be prepared by reaction of cyclohexanone with methylmagnesium iodide or by oxidation of methylcyclohexane are obtained.
