The 1. FC Rodewisch is a German football club from Rodewisch in Vogtlandkreis . The club is a successor to BSG Wismut Rodewisch , home to the youth stadium .
society
1. FC Rodewisch (later also VfB Rodewisch ) was founded in 1908. In contrast to the Vogtland local rivals Konkordia Plauen and SpVgg Falkenstein , Rodewisch always played in the championship of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs , any participation in the Gauliga Sachsen did not take place.
In 1945 the club was dissolved and re-established as SG Rodewisch . From 1953 the SDAG Wismut joined as a sponsoring company , the BSG operated under the name Wismut Rodewisch in the following period . In sporting terms, Wismut Rodewisch first made it to the then fourth-class district league Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1957 . As early as 1958, Wismut won the Karl-Marx-Städter district championship with a narrow lead over Motor Werdau and Motor Zschopau and was promoted to the 2nd GDR league . The third highest division of the GDR turned out to be a number too big for the Vogtlanders, the BSG rose as bottom of the table back to the district area.
In 1962, the Wismut got out as a sponsoring company, after a merger with Progress Rodewisch , Rodewisch changed its name again to TSG Rodewisch . TSG only held the district league until 1967, to which it did not return until 1989. With the turnaround the club appeared as TSV Rodewisch , in 1993 the football department broke out and started as 1. FC Rodewisch . In terms of sport, the FCR was quite successful. Between 1995 and 2001, the club acted for six seasons in the Landesliga Sachsen , from which Rodewisch withdrew prematurely from the game. In the 2012/13 season, 1. FC Rodewisch was promoted to the Vogtland regional league (Vogtland League). In the first year with the 9th place the safe league was achieved.
