The 1. PBC Leverkusen 73 eV was a pool club founded in 1973 from Leverkusen .
history
The 1st PBC Leverkusen was founded in 1973. In 1986 he reached the semi-finals of the German 8-Ball Cup for the first time . A year later he won it in the final against PBC Iserlohn . In 1989, the final against BC Oberhausen saw the second victory in the 8-Ball Cup. In the newly introduced Bundesliga in 1991, the PBC Leverkusen took second place behind the PBC Karlsruhe . A year later he became German champion. In the 8-Ball Cup, the club reached the semi-finals again in 1992, 1993 and 1997, before winning it for the third time in the 1998 final against the 1st PBC Kempen . Next to Rot-Weiß OberhausenPBC Leverkusen is the record winner of the 8-Ball-Cup. In 2001, the club took 14th place in the league and thus rose from the association league.
In the German Cup 1990 was Dieter Johns second in the 8-Ball and Christian Reimering third in the 9-ball . In 1992 , another PBC Leverkusen player, Sascha Zinowsky , who was third in 8-ball, won a medal. In addition, with Klaus Bötcher , Peter Conrad , Werner Fischer and Wolfgang Schmitz, several players won medals in German senior championships.
In snooker , the PBC Leverkusen was represented in the 2nd Bundesliga for one season . In the 1998/99 season , the first season of the league, he finished third and was relegated to the league.
