The 110 kV line Meitingen – Memmingen is a high-voltage line operated by Lechwerke . It is 82.4 km long and has a three-phase circuit with 110  kV nominal voltage.

The 1942-43 line was built as one of only a few high-voltage - overhead lines consistently in Germany on Delta masts installed (the operating company LEW distribution speaks of Lyramasten ). From 2017, it was replaced in several construction phases by a new line with solid steel masts. The 320 delta masts of the first line were made as truss structures from centrally welded pipes. Individual masts at the end points were later replaced by mast constructions for multiple circuits.

In Meitingen, the route was changed in 2011 in favor of residential areas.

The current route runs from the Meitingen substation via Feigenhofen to Bonstetten , crosses the A 8 at Streitheim , then continues via the Auerbach , Dinkelscherben -Lindach, Dinkelscherben-Oberschöneberg, Ziemetshausen , castle south of Thannhausen , Breitenbrunn , Breitenbrunn-Fürbuch, Oberschönegg -Märxle , Inneberg , the Lauben substation , Holzgünz , Schwaighausen , Memmingen- Eisenburg, Memmingen-Künersberg to the Memmingen substation.

renovation

In 2012, the operator classified continued operation of the 70-year-old components as uneconomical. In October 2012, the old delta masts in the section between Bedernau and Memmingen were dismantled and replaced by conventional single-level masts for a system. This measure was completed in April 2013.
