12th Planet (real name John Dadzie , also known as Infiltrata ; born June 7, 1982 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American DJ and music producer specializing in dubstep , electro and jungle . He has appeared at Coachella , the Electric Daisy Carnival and the Ultra Music Festival , among others , and is one of the first major American dubstep performers.

biography

Dadzie grew up in Los Angeles. After high school, he founded the Imperial Recordings label with DJ Lith . In 2006 he started producing electronic music himself as Infiltrata , at that time mainly drum & bass . In the same year he changed his stage name to 12th Planet and dealt more intensively with dubstep. From 2007 he worked regularly with Skrillex . He referred to him as his mentor during a joint live performance. In addition to Skrillex, 12th Planet has also collaborated with artists such as Doctor P , Datsik and Skream .

The name of 12th Planet is based on Zecharia Sitchin's book 12th Planet .
