13th Street is a German-speaking pay TV channel. The station is operated by Universal Networks International , until the end of 2010 NBC UNIVERSAL Global Networks Germany GmbH, based in Munich . The station is dedicated to the thriller & crime genres and shows series, feature films and short films.

In addition, 13th Street is also active in promoting the next generation of directors. The broadcaster awards the Shocking Shorts Award for short films every year as part of the Munich Film Festival and has co-financed almost 40 short films to date.

As part of NBC Universal's channel portfolio , Universal Networks International in Germany since 2011 , 13th Street was renamed 13th Street Universal on March 14, 2011 . The renaming was accompanied by a realignment of the station in Germany.

In-house productions

The station's program is also supplemented by in-house productions. For example, Bela B. presented the dark side of the zodiac in the astro show Horrorskop . Ralf Möller presented the Action Lexicon and Minh-Khai Phan-Thi with Hell's Kitchen - Dangerously Good Kitchen, a cooking show with the trendy chef Damien Klein . In the Bad Night stories , well-known personalities from film and television read short stories by well-known authors.

13th Street can be received in Germany, Austria and Switzerland via the subscription TV platform Sky and in Germany via the digital programming of the cable network operators Vodafone Kabel Deutschland and Unitymedia as well as via the digital package of the cable kiosk . In addition, 13th Street can be received via IPTV using the pay TV packages from Telekom and Vodafone .

In Austria, the station can be received at Magenta Telekom , A1 Kabel TV and some cable network operators via the cable kiosk. Most of the program is also offered with the original sound.

13th Street HD

Since July 19, 2011, the station has also been broadcast in HDTV standard by Vodafone Kabel Deutschland . An injection on Unity Media on 15 March 2012. Since 17 January 2013, the HD version on Sky is received too. With PŸUR , the station can also be seen via the PayTV package. The station can also be received in HD in Austria.
