The 2007/08 I-League season was the first season of the newly founded I-League, which is the top division in Indian football, and replaced the National Football League . It started on November 24, 2007 with the game Dempo SC against Salgaocar SC . The champions qualified for the 2009 AFC Champions League qualifying round . The last two teams were relegated to the I-League Second Division.
