1974 Daytona 24 hour race
In 1974 the Daytona 24-hour race was canceled due to the so-called oil crisis that was triggered in October 1973 as a result of the Yom Kippur War . The first race of the sports car world championship was therefore only on April 25th in Monza and the first round of the IMSA GT championship was held on April 21st with the 6-hour race of Road Atlanta of the year.
