The 56th 24 Hours of Daytona , also the 56th Rolex 24 at Daytona , took place on January 27 and 28, 2018 at Daytona International Speedway and was the first race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship of that year.

The race

The 2018 racing event ended with the overall victory of João Barbosa , Christian Fittipaldi and Filipe Albuquerque, who drove 808 laps and 4629.84 km on their Cadillac DPi-VR , setting a new distance record. At the finish, the trio had a lead of almost a minute on the Cadillac of Mike Conway , Eric Curran , Stuart Middleton and Felipe Nasr .
