David Heinemeier Hansson
David Heinemeier Hansson (born October 15, 1979 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a Danish programmer and author of the popular Ruby on Rails framework and the Instiki wiki . He is also a partner at the software company Basecamp .
Software developer
In 1999 Hansson founded and developed the Danish online gaming news site Daily Rush , which he operated until 2001.
Hansson is co-author of the book Agile Web Development with Rails .
Motorsport
The Dane is also active in motorsport and competes in sports car races. In 2012 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans .
