Jens Klingmann

Jens Klingmann (born July 16, 1990 in Heidelberg ) is a German racing driver .

Career

Klingmann began his motorsport career in karting in 1998 , where he was active until 2005. In 2006 he switched to formula racing and competed for Eifelland Racing in the German Formula BMW . While his team-mate Mika Mäki was runner-up, Klingmann finished fourth overall with fourth place as the best result. In 2007 , Klingmann stayed with Eifelland Racing in the German Formula BMW. He won 10 of 18 races and won the championship ahead of Daniel Campos-Hull . He also finished third behind Philipp Eng and Marco Wittmann at the Formula BMW World Final. In 2008 Klingmann switched to RC Motorsport in the Formula 3 Euro Series . As the only pilot on his team, he took part in every race. He remained without points and finished the season in 27th place overall.

In 2009 Klingmann left formula racing and switched to GT racing. He started in the FIA GT3 European Championship , which he finished in 18th place overall. He also started in the ADAC GT Masters this season . He won a race and finished 14th overall. He also took part in three races in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, all of which he won. In 2010 , Klingmann competed in every ADAC GT Masters race. He won two races and finished fifth overall.
