Bret Curtis
Bret Curtis (born December 13, 1966 ) is an American entrepreneur and racing car driver .
Entrepreneur
Bret Curtis is a steel trader worldwide. He is the owner and managing director of Spectra Resources Corporation , which he founded in 2002, and United Steel Supply, which he established in 2007 .
Racing career
Bret Curtis has been a racing driver since 2009. He drove in the American Le Mans Series and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship . In Europe he competed in the 24-hour race of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24-hour race of Le Mans . He made his Le Mans debut in 2012 in the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR from Prospeed Competition. His partners were Abdulaziz Al Faisal and Sean Edwards . The race ended prematurely after an engine failure on the Porsche. In his second assignment in 2017 , he reached 44th place overall.
His greatest success in motorsport to date was second overall at the Bathurst 12 Hours of 2012 . He has also achieved three class wins in his races so far.
