Hugo de Sadeleer (born July 16, 1997 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss racing driver .

Racing career

After starting out in karting , Hugo de Sadeleer's monoposto career began in 2012 in Formula BMW , where he finished eighth in the Talent Cup. In 2015 and 2016 he started in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . In 2016 he was sixth in the final ranking (champion Lando Norris ).

In 2017 de Sadeleer switched to sports car racing . He received a driver contract with United Autosports and competed in the European Le Mans Series with their Ligier JS P217 . The collaboration was successful from the start. Already the second race ended with a total victory when de Sadeleer with partners Filipe Albuquerque and Owen Will the 4-hour race at Silverstone won. After further successes in the 4-hour race at the Red Bull Ring , the trio finished the season in second place in the championship behind Memo Rojas and Léo Roussel .

He has competed twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race so far . After finishing 5th overall in 2017 , he finished this 24-hour race in 2018 in seventh place in the final ranking .
