Guillermo "Memo" Rojas (born August 18, 1981 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Memo Rojas was born as the son of Mexican racing driver Guillermo Rojas . After early years in karting he went from 1996 in monoposto -Nachwuchsserien at the start. Via Formula Reynard México he got into Mexican Formula 2 and in 1997 the Formula 3 championship in his home country. In 1997 he was second overall and third overall in 1998. He came to the United States in 1999 and drove for several years in the Barber Dodge Pro Series . In 2003 he was overall runner- up behind Leonardo Maia .

After an unsuccessful year in the 2004 Formula Renault V6 Eurocup , he turned to sports car racing and became one of the most successful drivers in North America in the following decade. In 2008 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 he and his partner Scott Pruett won the overall ranking of the Grand-Am Sports Car Series for Chip Ganassi Racing . Three times, in 2008 , 2,011 in 2013 , he won the 24 Hours of Daytona and 2014 at the 12-hour race at Sebring .

He has been active in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series since 2017 .
