29th Missile Division
The 29th Missile Division (russ. 29-я гвардейская ракетная Витебская ордена Ленина Краснознамённая дивизия ) was a rocket Division of the 50th Army missiles of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Soviet Union (headquartered in Smolensk , Belarus ). As of July 1, 1960, formation No. 55135 was the Soviet Army .
history
The divisional headquarters were stationed from July 1960 to September / October 1961 in the city of Tauragė of the Lithuanian SSR , and from September / October 1961 to December 1985 in the Lithuanian city of Šiauliai .
From February 1, 1986, the division was transferred to Irkutsk in the structure of the 53rd Missile Army in accordance with the directive of the Commander-in-Chief of Strategic Missile Forces No. 432/3/00846 of December 3, 1985 .
From September 16, 2002, after the disbandment of the 53rd Missile Army, it was transferred to the 33rd Missile Army of the Strategic Missile Forces (RWSN) of the Russian Armed Forces .
