50th Missile Army
The 50th Missile Army ( Russian 50-я ракетная Краснознамённая Армия ) was formation No. 55135 of the Soviet Army . It was founded in September 1960 according to a directive of the General Staff. The headquarters of this unit of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Soviet Union was in Smolensk . The army participated in Operation Anadyr during the Cold War .
