35 Hudson Yards (also known as E Tower and Equinox Tower ) is a super skyscraper in New York City .

The project was first presented to the public in summer 2011. The tower is said to be on the so-called Hudson Yards - a district in the very west of Manhattan . The name is derived from the Hudson River , which marks the western edge of Manhattan Island. The street address is 11th Avenue and West 30th Street . At the moment (as of the end of 2015) a huge building complex is to be built here, similar to that of the World Trade Center .

The E Tower is designed as a residential and hotel tower. It should be 317 meters high and have 72 floors (obsolete) . This would make it one of the tallest buildings in New York. The skyscraper was designed by the famous architect David Childs , who works for the internationally renowned architects SOM . The 250 residential units (spread over 21 floors) are to be luxuriously furnished. A total of around 150 hotel units are to be built, and these should also offer the highest level of luxury. A large grand plaza should lie at the foot of the tower. In addition, a huge Equinox Fitness Club is to extend over three floors, including its own basketball court and swimming pool. The construction of a sky lounge and a ballroom are also planned.

Official construction of the building began in mid-June 2015, when the first steel girders were set and concrete was poured into the foundation. The construction of 35 Hudson Yards reached its maximum height of 307.8 m in June 2018 and opened on March 15, 2019.
