The 6th Fallschirmjäger Division (short: 6th Fsjg.-Div. ) Was a major unit of the Luftwaffe of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War . The division was set up in France in June 1944 under Lieutenant General von Heyking .

Before the end of the line-up, the major unit went to the front north of Paris . During the retreat the majority became the Division on 4 September 1944 in the cauldron of Mons in Allied captivity. Remnants made their way to the Netherlands. Here the division was newly formed with recruits. The large association went into British captivity in May 1945 near Amersfort in the Netherlands .
