Erdmann Paratrooper Division (Wehrmacht)
The Erdmann paratrooper division was a major unit of the air force of the German armed forces during the Second World War . The division was set up on August 20, 1944 in the Arnhem area in the Netherlands and named after its commander, General Wolfgang Erdmann . The unit was only used on the Western Front in the Netherlands. On October 9, 1944, the division was renamed the 7th Fallschirmjäger Division .
