But when they find him, Itsuru is killed in a fight. The scientist Dr. Tani turns out to be the creator of 8-Man. He can save Itsuru's ghost and put it in a cyborg . Itsuru becomes the new 8-man who fights against organized crime with his superhuman powers. However, the memories of his human past bring him problems and make him unpredictable. At the same time, the need and crime is great because of the armed gangs and the drugs.

Production and publication

The anime was directed by Yoriyasu Kogawa at Studio JCStaff . The script was written by Yasushi Hirano , the character design was created by Kenichi Ohnuki and the mechanical design was done by Kunihiro Abe . Koji Honda , Norihisa Abe and Shinji Komori were hired as producers . The fact that the production took place so long after the original was published may be due to the success of Robocop some time before, which has a similar conceptual content and was influenced by the original Eight Man .

The short series of four episodes, each 29 minutes in length, was released on video from August 21 to November 22, 1993 in Japan. The anime was first shown in German at DF1 , under the title Cyber ​​Desperado . He was later seen on K-Toon in the Premiere program.
