Celebration on the occasion of the ten year anniversary

A-Musik from Cologne is a record store and label for experimental music that was founded in 1995 by Georg Odijk.

In the first ten years of its existence the label released only 28 records (as well as four maxis on the Sieben sub-label), but they were able to shape the style, especially during the Sound of Cologne in the mid-1990s.

After the shop moved to another part of the city, the previously close spatial connection to the Cologne techno scene was lost . On the occasion of its tenth anniversary in August 2005, the weekly newspaper Die Zeit wrote about A-Musik as “Germany's best-stocked record store” with around 30,000 titles operating worldwide.

Important artists, some of whom have collaborated on A-Musik, are Markus Popp ( Oval ), Jan St. Werner ( Mouse on Mars ), Schlammpeitziger , FX Randomiz , Marcus Schmickler and Wolfgang Müller .
