The A19 road ( English for road A19 ) is a major road in England that is almost continuously designated as a primary route , which runs from Doncaster essentially parallel to the east of the A1 road to the north and ends at Seaton Burn north of Newcastle upon Tyne on the A1.

The road starts in Bentley , a suburb of Doncaster, where it branches off from the A638 road , and leads via Askern and Whitley , where the M62 motorway crosses at junction 34, Selby , through whose center it is different from the town to the south The immediate A63 road runs, York , which is also not bypassed, to Thirsk . The further course leads as a dual carriageway to Middlesbrough (here the A66 road crosses ), Stockton-on-Tees and Billingham (junction with A689 road ) past east of Newcastle upon Tyne through the toll Tyne Tunnel (New Tyne Crossing) to Dudley , where the A189 road branches off north and ends at Seaton Burn on the A1.
