The A54 road ( English for road A54 ) is a 67.4 km long, only partially designated as a primary route road in England, which connects at Chester with Buxton .

The road branches off the A51 road in Tarvin east of Chester and leads, crossing the A49 road , via Winsford and Middlewich and at their junction 18 of the M6 motorway and crossing the A50 road to Congleton (bypass - under construction; intersection with the A34 road ). Here it loses its character as a primary route and continues east until it meets the A53 road shortly before Buxton and ends.
