The AAA Latin American Championship ( Spanish : Campeonato Latinoamericano AAA ) is a wrestling title of the Mexican promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). Like all wrestling titles, it is awarded as part of a storyline and is not part of a sporting competition. The title was first announced on May 18, 2011 and was part of a storyline in which American wrestlers promoted Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) attacked the AAA. For Triplemanía XIX a match between AAAs Dr. Wagner Jr. and TNAs Rob Van Dam announced the newly established AAA Latin American Championship. Contrary to the usual procedure, no qualification match was held. Wagner defeated Van Dam in the main event of Triplemanía XIX and became the first champion. The design of the new belt came from All Star Championship Belts. A total of eight wrestlers have held the title so far. Drago is the current champion and won the belt against El Hijo del Fantasma on December 2nd, 2018.
