The ACR Brändli and Vögeli AG is a company specializing in electronic car accessories Swiss company based in Bad Zurzach .
The company has a sales network of 250 independent authorized dealers in Germany , Austria , Switzerland and the Benelux countries and describes itself as Europe's largest car media specialist. Audio, multimedia and car hi-fi devices and systems are sold under private labels as well as the international brands Becker , Clarion , JVC , Kenwood , Pioneer and Sony .
history
The company was founded in Zurich in 1975 and later relocated to Bad Zurzach. The company achieved resounding success with the high-end AXTON and ISOSTATIC loudspeaker boxes, which ACR was one of the first companies to offer as a do-it-yourself kit . Among other things, a horn system , the ACR Eckhorn , became known to audiophiles . At the beginning of the millennium, however, the home audio area was discontinued.
The Europe shipping warehouse, built in 2000 and covering over 4000 m², and the service point are located a few kilometers from Bad Zurzach in Lauchringen, Germany .
In 2008 ACR came onto the market with the Zenec brand as the first after-market manufacturer with vehicle-specific radio / navigation solutions. First with the Zenec ZE-MC2000, then with the successor ZE-NC2010, which were built for the VW Golf 5 platforms. Since 2010, ACR has also offered such solutions for Ford , Opel , Audi and Hyundai . For this innovation, the ACR was awarded the EISA award of the European Imaging and Sound Association in 2008 .
