ACS Foresta Suceava is a Romanian football club from Suceava that has been playing in Liga II since 2014 and plays its home games in the Stadionul Areni next to the town hall, which has a capacity of 12,500 spectators.

history

The club was founded in 1946 as Asociația Sportivă CFR Ițcani , but was also called Locomotiva Ițcani . Until 2008, the club played only in the district league Suceava , with the exception of the time it was merged with Cetatea Suceava (1946-1947).

At the end of the 2007/08 season, the club was as Rapid CFR Suceava master of the Suceava district league and met in the promotion game for League III on the champions of the Mureş district league , ACS Miercurea Nirajului . After a 2-1 win, they were promoted to League III.

At the end of the 2011/12 season, Rapid CFR became champions of League III and thus achieved promotion to League II .
