CS Mioveni is a Romanian sports club from Mioveni . His soccer department has been playing in Liga II , the second Romanian soccer league , since 2012 .

history

CS Mioveni was founded on August 15, 2000 as AS Mioveni 2000 and initially played in Divizia D , the highest football league in the Argeş district . In the summer of 2001, he merged with Dacia Pitesti to AS Dacia Mioveni and took over its license in the third Romanian league, the Divizia C . Soon after, the club name was changed to CS Dacia Mioveni .

In the first year after the merger, the club was able to place itself in third place of its season, but clearly missed the promotion. Just one year later, in 2003, Dacia was able to prevail and rose to Divizia B as the season winner . At the beginning of the new season, the team continued to fly high and finished the 2003/04 season in third place. After two years in midfield of the league, Iordan Eftimie was replaced by Constantin Cârstea in the summer of 2006 . In January 2007 Marin Dună became his new assistant coach . He replaced Cârstea after the start of the second half of the season, when on March 3, 2007 only a 1-1 home game against bottom of the table Unirea Dej was achieved as head coach. A few weeks later, after the away defeat at Unirea Alba Iulia on April 7, 2007, Dună was dismissed and on April 10, 2007 a new coach with Ion Moldovan committed. With this succeeded again the promotion and entry into the league 1 , the highest Romanian league. On July 24, 2007, four days before the start of the 2007/08 season , Moldovan waived a contract extension for personal reasons and was replaced on July 26, 2007 by Florin Marin . After the first ten game days of the new season, the club occupied only the penultimate place in the table with six points and therefore dismissed Marin on October 10, 2007. In the end, Dacia had to go back to League II under Sorin Cârțu , but also made in Romanian Cup attracted attention, where the club was able to eliminate Dinamo Bucharest among others and was eliminated in the semifinals against eventual winners CFR Cluj . In the 2008/09 season, the club first placed in the front midfield of League II, before a series of poor results in November 2009 led to the suspension of the coaching team consisting of Iordan Eftimie and Marius Stoica. The coaching place took in the last home game of the first half of the club president Răzvan Tunaru . At the end of the season, the club narrowly missed the return to League 1 with third place and instead had to give way to FCM Târgu Mureș and Universitatea Cluj . Coach Marian Pană then left the club and the main sponsor Automobile Dacia also withdrew to support the Serie A club Udinese Calcio instead .

Under the name CS Mioveni and from July 15, 2010 with the new coach Cristian Negru , who had coached FC Argeş Piteşti in the second half of the 2009/10 season , the 2010/11 season was tackled. After the 3-3 draw on October 22, 2010 in the home game against UTA Arad , Negru was dismissed and replaced on October 25, 2010 by Ionuț Popa , the former coach of ACSMU Politehnica Iași . At the end of the season, CS Mioveni was again in third place in the table, but this time benefited from the decision of the Romanian Football Association to refuse second-placed FC Bihor Oradea the first division license and thus rose to League 1. After a false start in the 2011/12 season with four defeats in the first four games, Popa dissolved his contract on August 22, 2011 and was replaced by Ilie Stan . However, this left the team on September 15, 2011 together with his assistant coach Gabriel Mărgărit , as the club management had spoken out against a short-term training camp in Curtea de Argeş . Thereupon Constantin Stancu took over and from October 11, 2011 Mihai Stoichiță took over the coaching position at CS Mioveni. After his departure to Apollon Limassol on November 15, 2011, Mihai Stoica was initially appointed as the new head coach, but terminated his contract after two weeks. Marian Pană has been coaching the team since December 1, 2011 , setting a new record in Romanian football: never before had six different coaches coached a first division club at such an early stage in the season. At the end of the season, the club rose to League II with just twelve points.
