Player career
Steaua Bucharest
Laurențiu Roşu started his career as a professional footballer in his Romanian homeland with record champions Steaua Bucharest . The seven years from 1993 to 2000, in which Rosu played for the Romanians, went very well not only for him personally, but also for his team. They achieved five championship titles, three cup wins and three Supercup victories in the 1990s. After the European Championship in 2000 , Roşu moved to Spain .
Spain
After moving to the Spanish first division for relegation candidate CD Numancia , he had to accept relegation with his new team in the first season. For him personally, the year was not so bad because he scored eight goals this season. The following three years Roşu stayed with the team from Soria , but left the club in 2004 despite first division promotion. Then Laurențiu Roşu moved to the second division club Recreativo Huelva , with whom he also achieved promotion to the Primera División in the 2005/2006 season.
In the summer of 2008, his expiring contract was not extended by the club and Roşu moved to FC Cádiz in the third-class Segunda División B , where he ended his career a year later.
International
Laurențiu Roșu was a Romanian international. He scored five goals in 38 international matches. He also took part in the EM 2000 .
Coaching career
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season Roşu was assistant coach of Juan Ramón López Caro at FC Vaslui , but was dismissed in early October 2010 together with this. At the end of October 2012 he became Cosmin Contra's assistant trainer at Petrolul Ploieşti . He gave up this job in June 2014 to become assistant coach under Constantin Gâlcă at Steaua Bucharest .
