Act! is a customer relationship management software (CRM) which is used to store all communication with customers and interested parties centrally in a single database that is accessible to many users. Act! integrates with Microsoft Word and Outlook (and also with other software products) in order to generate e-mails and form letters and to track the communications carried out. history

Conductor Software was founded in 1986 in Dallas by Pat Sullivan and Mike Muhney. The Act! was published in 1987, making it one of the first software products in the CRM category.
