A dónde is a song by the German synthpop band Cetu Javu , which first appeared on October 31, 1989 as the B-side of the single "So Strange" and in 1990 on the debut album Southern Lands . It was the band's greatest success. Released in 1990 as the A-side, the song reached number 2 in the singles charts in Spain .

CD production

The track was recorded and mixed in the Hansa recording studios in Berlin in 1989 . It was produced by Cetu Javu and sound engineer Matthias Härtl, with Shannon Strong, A. Moses Schneider and Alex Leser as assistant engineers .

After a few complications during the studio work and various discrepancies with ZYX Records, Cetu Javu released the song "So Strange" from the upcoming LP in autumn 1989. On the B-side of the record was the Spanish-language track "A dónde", which climbed to number 2 in the Spanish charts and with it bands such as Depeche Mode with "Policy of Truth" or " Nothing Compares 2 U " by Sinéad O ' Connor , passed. Stefan Engelke was replaced by Thorsten Kraass shortly after the publication of "So Strange".

With "Southern Lands", the first album of the band and also the last release on the appeared at the beginning of 1990 after several delays label ZYX Records. The following works were released from now on on the Spanish record label Blanco y Negro Music and were particularly successful in the Romanic countries such as Spain, Argentina and Peru . Since "A dónde" was originally a B-side, the title was published again in 1990 by Blanco y Negro Music only for Spanish-speaking countries as an A-side. This was followed by tours of the band through all of Spain to Argentina. Both “Have in Mind” and “A dónde” became hits.

In 1991 the maxi single "Por que?" Was released under Blanco y Negro Music, which was also only available in Spanish-speaking countries. This song also entered the charts. In 1994 the band released a number of maxi singles, including a remix of "A dónde".
