Aaron Armstrong
Aaron Armstrong ( Aaron Nigel Armstrong; born October 14, 1977 in Houston , United States ) is a sprinter from Trinidad and Tobago .
In 2005 he won silver over 200 m at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships behind Usain Bolt . At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki , he did without a start in the semi-finals over 200 m.
In 2006 he was fifth over 200 m at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne .
At the Olympic Games in 2008 he reached the quarter-finals over 200 m. He was used in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay and thus contributed to the winning of the silver medal by the team from Trinidad and Tobago.
In 2009 he failed at the World Championships in Berlin over 200 m in the lead. The following year he won bronze over 100 m at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . In 2011 he was eliminated in the first round at the World Championships in Daegu over 100 m and came in sixth place with the 4 x 100 meter relay from Trinidad and Tobago.
Aaron Armstrong is the son of sprinters Ainsley Armstrong and Debra Armstrong (née Edwards).
