ABACUS electronics is a developer and manufacturer of electronics and electromechanical products with a special focus on analog technology . The company was founded in 1984 in Nordenham on the Lower Weser .

Customers include recording studios and professional users. The main focus is currently on various audio amplifiers , line drivers and active speakers .

technology

A special feature of the devices is a special transistor amplifier circuit that works independently of the load, i.e. the properties of the connected components ( e.g. speakers , cables and slave device inputs) cannot influence the signal .

This patented circuit combines the advantages of the old tube technology with those of the transistor technology. This transistor circuit is the only one that does not work as an emitter follower, but in what is known as an emitter circuit. Devices based on this technology are often used in sound engineering studios , e.g. B. PolyGram , used in the production of sound carriers ( CDs ). Various test institutes use Abacus products as reference devices for measuring and testing purposes.

In the Hörakustik ABACUS-powered speakers are also due to their linearity and in the Hörschule for rehabilitation of many years hard of hearing and in the related research ( University of Oldenburg used).

Product focus

  • HiFi audio amplifiers, active speakers, preamplifiers, line drivers, loudspeakers, active PA speakers
